When you enter Southgate, it is very impressive to see the boulevard lined with palm trees and native plants leading to the multi-level Clubhouse. Its Spanish-inspired architecture gives it that South Texas flavor. Spacious covered porticos lead to an outdoor grilling area, heated pool and spa area, shuffleboard and tennis courts, office and exercise room.
The all-brick construction of the moderately-priced patio homes in various styles and designs give Southgate the feeling of continuity while allowing each resident to maintain their individuality. A full time maintenance man keeps the common areas in tip-top shape. Private lawn care is available for a small addition to the monthly maintenance fee.
Southgate’s pleasing environment is assured through the work of five 
residents who serve on a board of directors, guided by governing bylaws, rules and regulations, as well as by residents who enjoy volunteering their time and expertise.
The Southgate Women’s Association plans and hosts monthly dinner parties and other events throughout the year. Residents gather at the Clubhouse for a variety of games, recreational activities, meetings and social events.
